Alcohol and Other Drugs – (AOD) Program Court/ Non Court Ordered
Alcohol and Other Drugs – (AOD) Program Court/ Non Court Ordered
At Capacity Partners Therapy, we offer a 12-week outpatient Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Program—available to both court-ordered and voluntary participants—to help individuals address alcohol and substance use while maintaining their daily routines and responsibilities at home.

Facilitating small groups of up to 12 participants, the program is designed to support long-term recovery and sustainable lifestyle change through education, therapeutic guidance, and peer connection.

What you can expect:

  • Two group sessions each week facilitated by qualified and experienced counsellors
  • Weekly one-on-one check-ins to ensure individual progress and tailored support
  • Practical skills training in stress management, relapse prevention, and emotional regulation
  • Peer support networks to reduce stigma and isolation
  • Specialised progress reports for court-ordered participants, including NDIS participants
Our Approach
We believe recovery is best achieved through connection, understanding, and evidence-based care. Our approach integrates therapeutic intervention with practical life skills, ensuring participants feel supported not just during sessions but in their everyday lives.

Using frameworks such as Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), our team focuses on helping participants develop insight into the causes and patterns of their substance use. Each session is structured to encourage self-reflection, accountability, and personal growth while maintaining a non-judgmental and culturally aware environment.

Collaboration is key—our counsellors work closely with participants, their support networks, and referring agencies to ensure each person receives coordinated, holistic care that supports both immediate recovery and long-term wellbeing.

Program Outcomes
By completing our AOD program, participants can expect to:
  • Develop greater emotional control and coping mechanisms
  • Build confidence and resilience to manage triggers and stress
  • Strengthen relationships and community connections
  • Reduce or eliminate dependency on substances
  • Gain a deeper understanding of personal goals and self-identity
  • Receive comprehensive reports that demonstrate measurable progress to courts, NDIS providers, or other agencies
Ultimately, our goal is to empower individuals to reclaim control, rebuild trust, and create a healthier, more purposeful life—free from the constraints of addiction.
